Get Involved with Careers & Employment Support

Drop-in service:

ASK service - our weekday drop-in service allows you to be seen for up to 15 minutes while you wait: between 9am and 5pm on Monday to Friday. Telephone (0116) 257 7595.

Careers advice online: 

Can't get in to use our ASK service? Email us for advice or information. We aim to answer your query in 3 working days. This service is targeted at: 

  • Part-time and distance learning students
  • Students and graduates living outside Leicester
  • DMU students on industrial placement or on vacation.

NB: CV and cover letter letter checks are best dealt with in person or by phone. If you can't call in person, please phone us on 0116 2577595.

Psychometric Testing:

Practice online aptitude tests are available to any DMU student or graduate. Click on this psychometric testing link to request access to the software.

Careers Guidance - useful resources:

Visit our Virtual Information Zone or Careers Information Zone in the Student Services Centre for information to take away on deciding which career is right for you, options with your course, job profiles and loads more!

Student from another university?

You can use our Virtual Information Zone or our Careers Information Zone in the Student Services Centre during your vacation. We recommend you make contact with the Careers Service within your own university and make full use of their services. Search for your university through the Prospects website.

Graduate from another university?

You can use our Virtual Information Zone or our Careers Information Zone in the Student Services Centre, but for individual advice you should contact your own university careers service. Search for your university through the Prospects website.

You can also use the interactive guidance and coaching services for graduates offered by Graduate Prospects

During the summer Careers and Employment Support may be running employability programmes for graduates (including non-DMU graduates). Check our Calendar of Events for any programmes currently planned.
